More than one thousand representatives ofВ the worldвЂ™s leading airlines and airports have gathered toВ participate inВ the largest international forum onВ route development.

InВ particular, the airportвЂ™s partners, representatives ofВ the largest aviation alliances and airlines got acquainted with the unique large-scale development project for the North Terminal Complex ofВ Sheremetyevo Airport. The project will beВ implemented byВ the Joint Venture ofВ JSCВ MASH and TPS Avia Holding.

Development ofВ the North Terminal Complex, with anВ annual capacity ofВ 40В million passengers, isВ one ofВ the strategic areas ofВ Sheremetyevo Airport operations. The first stage ofВ the new complex, designed for anВ annual capacity ofВ 15В million passengers, will beВ located atВ the site ofВ Terminal B. This sector also includes the exit from the underground terminal-to-terminal tunnel connecting the North and the South areas ofВ the airport. Plans call for the completion ofВ construction ofВ the underground tunnel and the new Terminal BВ inВ 2017, taking into account the preparation ofВ Sheremetyevo Airport toВ provide transport services during the 2018В FIFA World Cup.

Operation ofВ the new terminal inВ the northern area ofВ Sheremetyevo Airport will provide anВ opportunity toВ ensure passenger traffic growth ofВ upВ toВ 53В million passengers byВ 2023 while maintaining aВ high level ofВ service quality.

Modern infrastructure, efficient power distribution, and aВ comfortable flow pattern for the passengers and baggage ofВ connecting flights will strengthen the positions ofВ Sheremetyevo Airport asВ aВ large hub offering fundamentally-new opportunities for air-carriers toВ develop onВ the airportвЂ™s base.
