December 17, 2011 Swiss International Air Lines increases the number of flights from Moscow Domodedovo Airport to Geneva up to two flights per day. Now passengers have an opportunity to chose more convenient departure and arrival time to the capital of the French part of Switzerland. "The launch of an additional flight from Domodedovo reveals new opportunities for passengers, says Igor Borisov, Director of Domodedovo Airport. For the airport it is yet another confirmation of the airline – airport fruitful cooperation". Additional flight LX1339 Moscow (Domodedovo) – Geneva (Cointrin) will depart Domodedovo 17 December 2011 at 8.40 Moscow time to arrive at Cointin at 10.20 local time. Before SWISS used to operate flights in the evening only: departure time from Domodedovo is 7.30 a.m. Moscow time, departure time is 9.20 local time. airberlin, Germany's second-largest airline company, transported a total of 31,021,323 passengers in the first ten months of 2011, i.e. 3.1 percent more than in the corresponding period of the previous year (2010: 30,094,769 passengers). Fleet capacity utilization for the first ten months of the year improved by 2.1 percentage points to 78.7 percent (2010: 76.6 percent). Accumulated capacity increased slightly, i.e. by 0.3 percent.In October 2011, the number of passengers welcomed on board decreased by 4.1 percent to 3,345,832 (October 2010: 3,490,259 passengers), due to a targeted capacity reduction of 3.4 percent.
