AirBridgeCargo Launches a Direct Cargo Service between Frankfurt and Domodedovo
Moscow Domodedovo Airport and AirBridgeCargo airline announce a new scheduled freighter service between Moscow (Domodedovo) and Frankfurt effective from May 30 2010.
The direct flights will be operated on a weekly basis. AirBridgeCargo is the only freighter in Russia to connect international airports Frankfurt and Domodedovo. At the moment AirBridgeCargo operates 28 flights a week from Europe to Russia.
The new service is a part of domestic route network expansion plans.
AirBridgeCargo being a part of Volga-Dnepr Group is the leading Russian freighter airline. It operates scheduled flights Europe - Russia – Asia by Boeing 747 to 17 destinations in 12 countries. AirBridgeCargo performs scheduled flights from Asian airports: Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Seoul to European cities: Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Maastricht, Zaragoza, Milano and Malmo. In 2009 the airline expanded its route network by adding new destinations in the Middle Asia: Almaty, Atyrau, Bishkek and Kabul. The air fleet features 9 freighters of Boeing 747 type (5 B747–400ERF, 1 B747-400ERF, 1 B747-400F, 2 B747-200 and 1 B747-300).

At the moment 74 partner airlines (46 foreign including 11 representing the CIS States and 28 Russian) connecting over 224 destinations operate flights all over the world. The unique route network covered by Domodedovo partner airlines provides for 91 exclusive destinations. In 2009 18,7 million passengers benefited from Domodedovo services.
