32 apprentices start their training course at airberlin technik
On 1st September 2011 32 new trainees began their working life at airberlin technik GmbH. With a total of approx. 100 trainees, the company is one of the largest training establishments in the Dќsseldorf area. Three training schemes are currently available: one for aircraft maintenance technicians, one for avionics technicians and one for office clerks.
On Monday, 5th September the new trainees were given a first introduction to their new workplace during a tour of the maintenance hangar of airberlin technik in Dќsseldorf. In this context Marco Ciomperlik, Chief Financial Officer of airberlin technik, underlined the following: ?With each new apprenticeship we are investing in the future of our youth and the future of the company. Supporting vocational training to ensure that our young people have the right qualifications is something we will be embracing in the future as well, so that we can continue to guarantee the highest standards in aircraft maintenance and overhaul.?
The new vocational courses are the first since airberlin Technik merged with LTU Technik and dba?s technical department to become airberlin technik GmbH on 1st April 2011. As a provider of maintenance services, airberlin technik, with its 1,800 employees and the three main locations at Dќsseldorf, Berlin and Munich, is a major component of the airberlin group.
