On December the 20th, 2007 Moscow Domodedovo International Airport and "Art Impress" Gallery presented works of modern artists at the airport's VIP-lounge as part of the joint exposition project "From city to city". The airport, a symbolic place for the modern urban culture, has become an ideal context for the theme "From city to city". The extraordinariness of the space flooded with streams of people and powerful electric charges is a perfect backdrop for the works of art filled with zeitgeist impulses and at the same time it is a participant and director of the exposition itself. The exposition consists of more than sixty paintings and drawings completed in different techniques and artistic styles ranging from academic precision to vanguard experiments with colour, form, and spatial ratios. "From city to city" is a group exposition of young authors many of whom are graduates of the Moscow Academic Institute named after V. I. Surikov. Domodedovo International Airport held “Mass Media and Combating Terrorism in Aviation Industry” workshop. Issues related to transport security were discussed at the workshop. Its objective was to provide additional information on the matter to journalists covering emergencies and terrorist combating activities.The workshop was jointly organized by Domodedovo International Airport and Press Development Institute NGO within the framework of Future without Terrorism, Terrorism without a Future project.Viktor Kulikov, Director General of Global Foundation for Combating Crime and Terrorism, and Olga Karabanova, Director of Press Development Institute, took part in the workshop. On 17 May 2006, the Maintenance Company of Domodedovo International Airport hosted an open workshop “Effective Business Management of Aviation Maintenance Enterprises, Airports and Ground Handing Companies.” Representatives of airports, airlines, ground handling and aviation maintenance companies as well as specialists of aviation training institutions took part in the event.The workshop was set up by the Russian branch of IFS Russia & CIS company, which projects aroused interest of Domodedovo’s Maintenance Company. The event’s objective is to acquaint participants with the company’s product and explore a possibility of its implementation in Domodedovo’s Maintenance Company and other enterprises of the Domodedovo airport complex.IFS Company is a provider of component-based business software developed using open standards.
