Domodedovo International Airport Hosts Open Workshop on Business Management
On 17 May 2006, the Maintenance Company of Domodedovo International Airport hosted an open workshop “Effective Business Management of Aviation Maintenance Enterprises, Airports and Ground Handing Companies.” Representatives of airports, airlines, ground handling and aviation maintenance companies as well as specialists of aviation training institutions took part in the event.
The workshop was set up by the Russian branch of IFS Russia & CIS company, which projects aroused interest of Domodedovo’s Maintenance Company. The event’s objective is to acquaint participants with the company’s product and explore a possibility of its implementation in Domodedovo’s Maintenance Company and other enterprises of the Domodedovo airport complex.
IFS Company is a provider of component-based business software developed using open standards. Its business applications are focused on meeting the needs of selected industries and adjusted to management of enterprise’s resources, fixed assets and equipment management.
During the workshop representatives of IFS Russia & CIS presented IFS Applications management system, developed with regard to aviation standards and requirements. Moreover, head of the project of comprehensive automation of Budapest’s Ferihegyen airport (Hungary) shared experience of the implementation of the system that has been used in the airport for the last three years.
IFS Applications system contains necessary functions to tackle airport services management challenges. This system is a component-based that provides for its step by step implementation. The company has gained an extensive experience of work in aviation industry. The list of its customers includes aviation authorities of Norway, Sweden and Finland, the airport of Oslo, US company Evergreen Aviation Ground Logistics, Finnish Finnair, and SAS Ground Equipment Maintenance.
The open workshop “Effective Business Management of Aviation Maintenance Enterprises, Airports and Ground Handing Companies” in Domodedovo, airport’s interest in exploration of the similar high tech products represent another proof of the steady position of EAST LINE Group in turning Domodedovo International Airport into one of the most technologically developed airports in the world.
