Air Berlin and Air Lease Corporation sign a sale and lease-back agreement for five aircraft
The newly founded leasing company Air Lease Corporation, a company led by Steven F. Udvar-Hazy, Chairman/CEO, and Air Berlin have signed a sale and lease-back agreement for one Airbus A320-200, one Airbus A321-200, two Boeing 737-800s and one used A320-200 aircraft which are all equipped with CFM engines.
The first delivery which was the A320-200 already took place on May 19, 2010. The delivery of the second and third aircraft, an A321 and one used A320, were delivered in June 2010. The two Boeing 737-800 aircraft are scheduled for later 2010 as well as for early 2011.
